At the risk of upsetting a number of people in education - I can find no reference in any of the discussions about improving the standard of teaching. There is plenty about choice, non-selection, disadvantage etc. but lifting the standards of teaching - nothing. Surely if the children are "failing" - the way they are taught MUST have some influence. Why is this aspect of the problem not being adressed? Comments welcome please!
