Can I suggest that this forum looks into health privatisation urgently. This is an issue which will affect every citizen and which is happening now. What interests me in particular is that a Liberal approach to health does not necessarily preclude the option being trialled, which is making Primary Care Trusts (PCTs)purchasers of services. The question for those of a Liberal persuasion is how to meet the required efficiencies while still ensuring a high quality, free-at-point-of-use service for every citizen while recognising the way the current reforms are taking us.

We should not immediately oppose this but we must have a clear idea of what we want our health service to achieve and what we are willing to do to achieve that.
