Local Heroes

Do we get better results from local services or do the economies of scale of a centralised system trump the supposed benefits?

Have you ever been frustrated with the way in which government works and felt that it is too remote?

Who is best able to govern - a central authority or a local one? What do we mean by local? Are we over-centralised in the UK?

We want to explore some of those questions here and see if government can be made more local.
